Melbourne Trip Day 3 - Phillip Island

Today, got to wake up slightly later, as we are heading towards Phillip Island, and the journey is not as long as yesterday. Hence, we decided to leave house at around 12pm. Headed to QV Mall to get White Coffee, and Desert House for brunch.

Yummy Fried Rice!
XO Fried Rice & Seafood Fried Rice

After brunch, went back home, prepared our stuffs and head towards Phillip Island as Zhiyang had already arrived. Again, we stopped at one of the visitor information centre to enquire and plan our route, and went off to Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. Chocolates there are handmade, and there are quite a lot of varieties. I bought a bar of White Chocolate Macadamia.

Saw this Chocolate Penguin on display.

We bought this ticket "package" sort of thing where we get to visit 3 tourist attraction at a cheaper price. After chocolate factory, we went to Churchill Island Heritage Farm. We were pretty much in a rush, as all the attraction closes at around 5 or 6, except for the Penguin Parade.

Saw this pretty looking garden chair under a tree!
Some pics of the insides of the Heritage House
Headed out, and took pics with the animals!
Mum and Granduncle with the VAIN horse!

i took a pic with the horse too. but whenever i touch or pat it, it will fidget. scared the hell out of me! i taught its going to kick me or something.

Then we went to feed the goats. There's this machine where u get to win a toy by paying $1 and grab accurately in order to win. But in tis case, the toy is replace with the goat's food. $3, play will you win. Sis won a pack, and wanted to go in to feed the goats. but this goats are damn smart! the moment they see the pack dropping into the hole, they ran down and "charge" for the entrance. Sis and Granduncle went in, while the rest of us stood outside and watch. Sis dare not feed the goats while she's inside cos they will charge at whoever that has the food.
When trying to come out, they have to pass the food to those standing outside. They passed it to Zhiyang who was standing at the side, and he "lured" the goats to his side with the pack of food, while my sis and granduncle make their escape.

We left the place at around 5pm, and head over to the Koala Conservation Centre that is down the road. Went on the trail, and saw only 4 Koalas, ALL SLEEPING!!

took a rest outside the Koala Conversation Centre, and took a pic with my grandaunt.
On the way to Noobies Island, we decided to turn in to the Melbourne Grand Pix Circuit. ( for my benefit of cos) As we need to sorta walk into the circuit, and lazy me is too lazy to walk, i decided to jus stop our car there and look at Kangaroos feeding at the side.
Headed over to Noobies Island, by right is to see Sea Lions, but there were none, or perhaps its too far out for us to see without paying for the binoculars. We see Sea Gulls and 2 Penguins who sorta lost their ways.

LOOK! those in jackets, zipped all the way up, at the back, had DECLARED before the flight to Melbourne that they are not afraid of cold! Contradicting themselves now. HAHA
That's sis walking towards a Sea Gull, and trying to take a picture with the Sea Gull, cos its standing there so still and like its not afriad of humans. There's no pictures of sis with the sea gull cos of ME! Sis walked veryvery slowly towards the sea gull, and i am suppose to take the picture. the bird is so still and is not responding when my sis is less than 30 cm away from him/her. so sis posed, and i counted 1, 2! 1 count before i snap the picture, that freaking bird took flight and flew towards me! its quite a big bird okie?! and ME? being most afraid of birds, seeing that its seems like its gonna attack me, i SCREAMed and RANNN!!! Thats the most embarrasing part! Then i turned back, Sis, Mum and Zhiyang is laughing their arse off at me.. ARGH! im laughing at myself too thoughthe butt of our 8 seater!
Along the way out, there were many carcass of Sea Gulls, which is super disgusting. Headed off to Penguin Parade, and had our worse ever dinner there. Expensive and Disgusting Food. Left for penguin parade at around 8.30pm. As its by the sea, its super duper COLD. at first we were sitting on the bench, but Zhiyang noticed that we could sit on the shore, as there's other people sitting there too. So we headed down, and i was acutally irritated by the idea that i had to sit on sand, as we did not bring ground sheet along with us, other than a sleeping bag. Zhiyang offered one of his "towel" to let us used it as a ground sheet, but only can sit 2 person, so Sis and him sat on the sand, while me and mum sat on the towel. =) Used the sleeping bag as a blanket to cover our legs, cos the wind blowing is very strong and cold. we were literally shivering.

Penguins started coming upshore at around 8.50pm. there were one penguin who sorta lost his way towards home, and came "parading" infront of the audience. it came as far as the line, and very closed to me, and was being caught by the ranger and put back into his burrow or "home". left after seeing around 30 of them, and walked back up to the visitor centre.

Home Sweet Home!

No Pics allowed at the Parade, so we only took the pic of this signage.
