Melbourne Trip Day 2 - Great Ocean Road

Woke up early today at around 9am or so, and had light breakfast. Had sandwich for breakfast, and watched TV while waiting for sis to be ready and Zhiyang to reach our place. Leave home at around 10am? Brought quite a number of things along with us. as the journey will be very long, and we will be driving along the coastal, i brought my blanket along with me to the car, as im sitting along at the third tier of the car. Brought a box of sandwiches, some potato chips and a big tub of drinking water along.

Sis sat the front to sorta lead the way, while my mum, granduncle and grandaunt sat at the middle tier sleeping their way through the journey, while i read Eclipse, and snack at the back. Sis took some "tak glam" shots of them sleeping though.. not very nice to show la..

Our first stop is to this Visitor Information Centre, at Geelong. There are volunteers there to helped visitors who stopped by, mostly heading to the Great Ocean Road. It is also some how a stop by for a toilet break. We have no trouble finding SUPER DUPER CLEAN washrooms in any part of Australia. So totally no worries at all. The volunteers directed the way on a map of Great Ocean Road to sis and Zhiyang, while we slacked around. The volunteers are very helpful, and told us where we could go to and what we could do along the way, estimating the time for us, and we realised that there were nothing much we could do as we are kinda running late.

Pictures along the way:
Super long truck delivering logs!

Mum taking a pic with the car we rented. 8 seater!!
Volunteer at information centre, and Zhiyang paying close attention.
Shopping along the way @ ROXY!
Since we were driving near the coastal, and it is very windy, we switched off the Air Con and open the windows. I'll show you how cold is it:

My blanket is thick okie??!!! Very very thick kkkkk!!

Then, we headed to this town like place and had lunch, the "senior citizens" decided to try their luck with the 15million lottery. Sorta like a TOTO thing. They were engrossed in deciding their numbers while Zhiyang and me went to look for a place that sells Fish and Chips, as the place we wanted to go is closed.

After lunch, took some pictures, and headed off to continue our journey. The view is very nice though. No ships on the "ocean".

Lunch!
Fish & Chips
and
Whole Chicken

Stopped by to the Marriners Lookout Walk, whereby you walk up this small hill, and enjoy the view of the ocean, from a hill. Saw 2 goats along the way, and was shocked by the white one who came running down the hill all of a sudden. Stopped there for around 10 minutes to take pictures of the scenery, and head over to The Twelve Apostles, with me sorta leading the way this time.

It was my first time sitting in front and leading the way from a map, and i had totally no experience in it. We almost thought we went the wrong way, as we were not driving along the coastal animore, and the place was rather deserted. I was so scared to imagine leading the wrong way, because it is already very time consuming to drive up there, and imagine going the wrong way and wasting time! i was so scared that i do not even dare to talk. my eyes are either on the map or on the road looking for road signs to sorta prove that i am leading correctly.

Heaved a sigh of relief when i finally saw the road sign to The Twelve Apostles. Followed the road signs, and finally reached after 5 or 6 hours of drive. Very tedious. Poor "Driver".

Me, taking the typical tourist pic! HAHA
Sis holding one of the Apostles.
I'm grabbing it at my finger tips! ^ ^
Headed off after awhile, as its already 5 plus, and by the time we drive home, it would take another 6 hours or so, and we have to look for a petrol kiosk on the way back. Its all kind of like a self service thing, pump petrol urself and such. As theres no discount there, we just pumped a small amount of $41, but its only like 1/4 of the tank.

Stopped by this road side looking kind of stall, and bought Kebab home for dinner. $8 each, quite big though, but not very yummy.
Get to wake up slightly later tml, as we're heading off to the Phillip Island! Ciaoz!
